News
- The warmth of the meeting
exceeded that of the cheeseburger tartare. Never have so many sent so much
back to the kitchen.
- Stephanie and our
speaker had no complaints about the food.
- Kevin's guest
Laura Holleran and Leah's guest Maggie Smith joined us; don't know
how their cheeseburgers were.
- David went back to Colombia.
Our new waiter is his brother.
- Ron and President
John entered the Rotary closet together, supposedly to clean it. Right.
- Leah would like all
you deadbeats to know dues are due, shame. (My check's in the mail.
Honest. Well, it will be.)
- As for those who
haven't yet paid for the Holiday Party, shame, shame, shame!!!! (I
don't have to worry about that one.)
- If you haven't
yet booked your tickets and sent your check for the next performance of The Three Bald Guys in Concert,
shame, shame, shame, shame, shame!!!!!!! The New York Times review said, "Mais will remind you
of Pavarotti (before his diet). Overland twisted notes so badly the
orchestra needed a chiropractor. Lavin looked competent to carry a tune,
but looks are deceiving. A must see!"
- Our Rotary e-mail
system has not been working, but Ed will fix it.
- President John
shared a note of thanks we received from the Interact club.
- The Haiti
project is moving along. Frank is working on a grant, possibly involving a
concert by The Three Bald Guys.
- The Board of
Directors meeting is Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 8. I presume that's a.m.
- Richard announced the
stuffing party for the crafts show will probably be the first week of
February. Entertainment by The Three Bald
Guys. The Crafts Show is May 27.
- Don Boyle took his
son back to Loyola and thought things were looking up for New Orleans. But then again, he also had
hurricanes on Bourbon Street.
- Pre-PETS is next
Saturday.
Speaker
Neither Stephanie nor our speaker showed. Had nothing to do with the food.
